Raymond James Grabs $500M Team

An advisor team that managed more than $524 million in client assets has joined Raymond James & Associates, the firm said.

Last month, the three-advisor team left William Blair, a Chicago-based global investment banking and asset management firm, to sign up with Raymond James. The team has remained in Chicago, operating as GBR Wealth Management Group.

According to Raymond James, the group generated more than $2 million in annual revenue while at William Blair.

Team member Samuel Gross began his career in 1985 at Legg Mason, according to FINRA records. He later worked at Deutsche Bank before joining William Blair in 2004.

A second team member, Joseph Brady, had been at William Blair since 1985, and had started his advisory career with Dean Witter in the late 1970s. An associate financial advisor, Tonya Ann Rasmussen, joined William Blair in 2004, according to FINRA records.

Earlier this month, Raymond James said it had recruited two RBC advisors in Los Angeles. Paul Berman and Joshua Rosenzweig managed about $200 million in assets and generated $2.6 million in annual revenue while at RBC, according to Raymond James.
