Raymond James Grabs Million-Dollar Producer

A UBS advisor who generated over $1 million in revenue has left the wirehouse to join Raymond James & Associates, the firm's traditional employee broker-dealer, according to branch manager Tom Hirsch.

On September 18 advisor Patrick Yates, his wife Carole, a marketing associate, and Donna Calkin, a sales assistant, joined Raymond James' Louisville, Ky., office. Yates, who reports to Hirsch, managed over $120 million in assets while at the wirehouse.

"We feel fortunate that he choose to affiliate with us," says Hirsch.

Yates started his financial services career in 1986. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1991, and later moved to UBS in 2002, according to FINRA records.

This is the second advisor that UBS has lost to Raymond James in the past two weeks. Eric de Goldsmith-Rothschild left the wirehouse to join Raymond James' Miami office. He generated more than $800,000 in annual fees and commissions at UBS.
