UBS Loses Advisor With $125M AUM to Raymond James

UBS has lost an advisor with more than $125 million in client assets to Raymond James & Associates, the employee broker-dealer arm of Raymond James Financial.

Eric de Goldsmith-Rothschild generated more than $800,000 in annual fees and commissions at UBS. De Goldsmith-Rothschild was hired for the role of senior vice president, investments for the Raymond James office in Miami, the firm announced Thursday.

De Goldsmith-Rothschild has a 19-year financial services career that included stints at Prudential Securities and Wachovia Securities. He will be part of the Global Wealth Advisors Group of RJA that provides specialized products and services to clients overseas. His practice focuses on comprehensive financial planning for individuals and families in the U.S. and abroad.

De Goldsmith-Rothschild, who formerly lived in France for several years, is reuniting with advisor Alain Albergel at the RJA Global Wealth Advisors Group, who worked with him at Wachovia and Prudential.

“Eric brings a truly global perspective, which fits in well with our long-term growth initiatives,” Ira Federer, RJA Eastern division director, said in a statement. "He’s a great addition to our network of advisors, and we’re excited to welcome him to the firm.”
