Raymond James Recruits $1.6M Wirehouse Team

A Merrill Lynch advisor team that generated about $1.6 million in annual revenue is moving to Raymond James, according to a statement from the regional wealth manager.

Advisors Jeffery Tomaszewski and Gary Rigby, who managed more than $280 million in client assets while at Merrill Lynch, will join the Ocala, Fla. office of Raymond James & Associates, the traditional employee broker-dealer of Raymond James Financial.

"We looked for a couple years and considered half a dozen firms during our due diligence process," Rigby said in a statement. "After meeting with senior leadership, we found the type of customer service Raymond James provides and the corporate culture permeating the firm to be a great fit for our needs and the needs of our clients. The quality of the individuals who work here and the advisor support during our transition have been outstanding."

The two advisors are veterans of the industry. Tomaszewski began his career in 1985 with Merrill Lynch, according to FINRA records. Rigby started work at the same firm a year later.

Registered assistant Liz Malkin is also moving with TomaszewskiandRigby to Raymond James.
