Raymond James Recruits Branch Manager From Ameriprise

An Ameriprise financial advisor accepted a branch manager role with Raymond James & Associates.

Advisor Aaron Tellez joined Raymond James on November 24 and he reports to complex manager Jerry Conn, a firm spokeswoman acknowledged.

Tellez joined the firm's Newport Beach, Calif., office, but will be moving to a new Irvine, Calif., branch office in the 12-18 months, the spokeswoman said. The Irvine office is anticipated to house eight advisors and will be part of the firm's Newport Beach Complex.

Tellez started his career with Smith Barney in 2000, according to FINRA records. He moved to UBS in 2002, and left the wirehouse to work at Ameriprise in 2009, according to FINRA records.

Raymond James has been on a strong recruiting push in California this year. The firm recently recruited Michael Schipper, a former Morgan Stanley branch manager, to oversee its San Francisco office.
