RBC Grabs Wirehouse Advisor With $116M AUM

A wirehouse advisor managing $116 million in assets has left Wells Fargo Advisors to join RBC Wealth Management.

Advisor Todd Watson joined RBC's office in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., where he will report to branch director Jim Jahnsen.

While at Wells Fargo, Watson generated $655,000 in annual revenue, according to a statement from RBC.
Watson has nearly three decades of industry experience, having started his career in 1986, according to FINRA documents. He worked at firms Prudential Securities, Janney Montgomery Scott and Morgan Keegan before joining Wells Fargo in 2009.

RBC said that so far this year it has recruited 83 financial advisors with more than $8 billion in assets under administration. The Canadian-owned firm most recently recruited two Morgan Stanley advisors managing $213 million in assets. That team joined RBC's office in Sewickley, Pa.

Overall, RBC has about 2,000 financial advisors and more than $278 billion of assets under administration.
