Baird Nabs 2 Advisors From Wirehouses

Two industry veterans have left two different wirehouses to sign on with Baird.

Craig Young has been appointed as director of the Houston market, where he will oversee the area's two wealth management offices.

He joins the firm after spending four years with UBS, according to FINRA records. He has eight years in the securities industry. Patricia Sparks has been promoted to office administrative manager for the Houston and will work with Young.

Also signing on with Baird is 32-year veteran Gary Foose Jr. He will join as a director and financial advisor in the firm's Houston office. With $350 million in client assets, Foose joins Baird following six years at Wells Fargo Advisors. Previously, he spent more than 20 years with A.G. Edwards & Sons.

In July, McAdams Wright Ragen became a subsidiary of Baird Financial Group, adding 85 advisors to the firm. The firms will merge offices by year's end.

The recent moves have boosted Baird's total wealth management business up to client assets of more than $100 billion, with 800 financial advisors and more than 80 offices in 26 states.
