Regions Bank has named a relative newcomer to the bank’s Wealth Management Group head of Private Wealth Management, the bank announced today.

Anne Copeland, an executive vice president of the group since April 2012, will lead Regions’ efforts to provide banking, trust, and investment management services to affluent and high-net-worth individuals. She will oversee a team of more than 500 private wealth management associates spread throughout 50 offices in 16 states.

“Anne has played an integral role in building out our wealth management strategy over the past year with a focus on providing industry-leading service and investment solutions to clients,” Bill Ritter, head of the Regions Wealth Management Group, said in a statement.

As executive vice president for the Regions Wealth Management Group, Copeland managed Strategy and Client Solutions, including strategy, client experience, product management, marketing, communications and training. Prior to joining Regions in April 2012, Copeland was executive vice president and senior managing director for Wells Fargo Bank’s Wealth Management Group in North Carolina. She also led the California Investment Management and Trust business for Wells Fargo and served as senior vice president and director of Fiduciary Services. She has more than 31 years of industry experience, according to Regions Bank.

Regions Private Wealth Management is one of four divisions that make up the Wealth Management Group, which was created in June 2011. The other three divisions are Regions Institutional Services, Regions Investment Services and Regions Insurance Group.
