Schwab Launches OpenView Integration Platform for RIAs

Schwab Performance Technologies has rolled out two platforms, OpenView Integrated Office and OpenView Gateway, to work with Salesforce CRM, one of the industry’s more popular client relationship management systems.

The asset custodian and back-office technology provider is betting that the two systems will enhance the Intelligent Integration platform that it launched almost two years ago, specifically to increase cooperation between all of the disparate software and workflow systems in advisors’ offices.

The OpenView Integrated Office bundles key technologies that independent advisor firms, specifically RIAs, use to operate. It works with Salesforce, real-time custody data from Charles Schwab & Co., and data about client accounts managed by outside contractors, whether they are held at Schwab or elsewhere.

The other half of the new offering, Schwab OpenView Gateway, is a flexible, open-architecture technology that allows Schwab systems and those of participating technology providers to work together. According to Schwab the OpenView Integrated Office starts at $10,000 for two users, and the OpenView Gateway is available at no extra cost for advisors who work with Schwab Advisor Services and Salesforce CRM.

Schwab just completed pilot testing with 40 independent advisory firms.
