Securities America Hires Industry Veteran to Recruiting Team

Dee Morgan, an industry veteran with 20 years’ experience has joined Securities America’s branch office development recruiting team, the firm said.

Morgan, who previously worked as national director of recruiting for United Capital in Newport Beach, Calif., will oversee Securities America’s recruitment in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas.

“Securities America is all about being a top-tier broker-dealer committed to the independent advisor,” Morgan said in a statement. “When you couple that with the relationship they have with their parent company Ladenburg Thalmann, we are taking Wall Street to Main Street. That’s a difficult mix to replicate.” He added that he was attracted to the firm because it offered services and support typically associated with a large broker-dealer, along with the friendly feel of a small broker-dealer.

Morgan started his career as an advisor in 1993. He began to take recruiting responsibilities after 2007 as regional managing director at Lincoln Financial Group. He served as senior vice president of business development and recruiing at Williams Financial Group from 2008 to 2012 and senior vice president of recruiting for SagePoint Financial, according to Securities America.
