State Street Shakes Up Fixed Income Management Team

State Street Global Advisors this week announced a pair of executive moves, naming Bill Street as its news global head of fixed income alpha strategies and Brian Kinney as its new global head of fixed income beta strategies.

Street, who is based in London and has more than 15 years of experience in fixed income markets and derivatives trading, previously served as co-head of the firm's active fixed income group where he provided leadership to State Street Global Advisors teams in the Europe/Middle East/Africa and Asia-Pacific regions.

In his new role, Street will be responsible for all active fixed income portfolio managers and fixed income analysts and strategists. He joined State Street in 2007 from Unicredit where he was head of fixed income and proprietary trading.

Kinney most recently ran the firm's government solutions group and will retain that responsibility in his new role. He also has 15 years of fixed income markets experience and joined State Street Global Advisors in 2003.

"These organizational decisions better position SSgA to create innovative products and solutions for our clients and help to ensure that we most effectively deploy our investment talent," Kevin Anderson, State Street's global chief investment officer for fixed income and currency, said in a statement.
