Stifel Expands in Florida with 2 UBS Advisors

Stifel has opened its third new office in Florida in the past seven months with the addition of two advisors from UBS.

The firm, which has 16 offices in the state, recently hired Michael Wallace and Todd Belfiore to make a foray into the Tampa market.

“We are very pleased and excited to enter the Tampa market with Mike and Todd, two experienced financial advisors and longtime Tampa residents,” Chris McCray, the regional director for Stifel’s southern region, said in a statement.

The two previously managed $179 million in client assets and will both join as senior vice presidents/investments.

Wallace will serve as the branch manager of the office. He has 26 years of experience and spent time at Lehman Brothers and Raymond James before joining UBS in 2000, according to registration records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Belfiore also joined UBS in 2000 after time at Raymond James and Prudential, according to FINRA records. He brings 24 years of experience to Stifel.

Stifel recently added Wells Fargo advisor in Melbourne, Fla., and opened an office in Stuart, Fla., with teams from Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley.
