Kenneth Kehrer, Steve Saltzman and Peter Bielan joined forces to form a new consulting firm in the financial advisory industry.

The new firm, Kehrer Saltzman & Associates, launched Thursday, Saltzman said in a phone interview. Saltzman said that the firm’s services will be aimed at both the manufacturing, as well as the distribution, side of the business. The information services aimed at advisors will include white papers, benchmarking and round table discussions, he said.

The new firm brings together the existing businesses of Saltzman Associates, Bielan Consulting and Kehrer’s research and consulting expertise that he formerly brought to Kehrer-Limra.

“I saw an industry need to integrate research and a practical understanding of running a successful wealth management business,” Kehrer said in a press release announcing the new firm.

Bielan added in the release: “Dr. Kehrer pioneered the use of research to benchmark the performance of investment and insurance services inside a bank or credit union, and identifying best practices. But we see that most research available in the industry today focuses just on reporting trends instead of developing an understanding of the levers that management has to improve the client experience, as well as its performance and contribution to shareholder value.”
