UBS recently wrapped up a round of aggressive recruiting for its Wealth Management Americas (WMA) division after cherry picking some top talent from several big-name firms.

Four advisory groups and a new senior vice president have come on board to expand UBS’s advisory branch nation-wide with additional clients and combined assets under management of over $1.6 billion.

In the North East, the Wright Ramage Wealth Management Group, led by senior vice president Robert Wright and senior portfolio manager Barry Ramage, joins WMA’s Albany, N.Y., office. Wright Ramage was formerly with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Hudson, N.Y., branch and oversees $380 million in AUM.

Also from Morgan Stanley, Ellentuck Wealth Management Group, which has $340 million in AUM and $3.4 million in production, joins WMA’s Florham Park, N.J., office. Todd Ellentuck, the team’s leader and a Barron’s Top 100 New Jersey financial advisor, will be managing director of the branch and will report to Michael Price, complex director.

Another pull from Morgan Stanley, the Pierce/Kyle Group, led by senior vice presidents Wallace Kyle and Frederick Pierce, joins WMA’s Florham Park office as well. The team, which manages approximately $236 million in assets and more than $1.8 million in production, will report to Michael Price.

One more firm, the Palumbo, Short, D’Amato & Dixon Group from Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, will also be reporting to Michael Price at the Florham Park. office. The team manages over $675 million in AUM and has $4 million in production.

UBS has added William J. Goldberg to the WMA offices in Houston, Texas as senior vice president-investments. Previously, Goldberg was with Alliance Bernstein and was named among the top financial advisors in the U.S. by Worth Magazine.

“William as well as the Wright Ramage, Ellentuck, Pierce/Kyle and Palumbo, Short, D’Amato & Dixon Groups represent the caliber of advisors that we are selectively seeking to add to our exceptional team of financial advisors at UBS,” said Jason R. Chandler, Head of UBS WMA’s Wealth Management Advisor Group.
