U.S. Bank’s Brokerage Unit Adds Two Advisors in Bismarck, N.D.

U.S. Bancorp Investments, the brokerage affiliate of U.S. Bank, has added two financial advisors to its staff in Bismarck, N.D. Steve Felchle and Jason Ernst will deliver wealth management and financial planning services to affluent clients, the firm announced Wednesday.

The new hires, both formerly with Wells Fargo, bring the total number of financial advisors at USBI to 532, up from 480 in July 2008.

At Wells Fargo, Felchle and Ernst were financial advisors, managing $160 million in client assets, according to USBI. Prior to Wells Fargo, Felchle served as vice president of business and agricultural banking for Norwest Bank. He has more than 33 years of financial industry experience, while Ernst has 11.

“Steve and Jason will greatly enhance our current wealth management and investment services capabilities in Bismarck and Western North Dakota,” Larry Hoyme, region manager for USBI, said in a statement. “They enjoy a reputation for helping taking care of their clients and bring their abilities in managing a very disciplined and sophisticated investment process.”
