U.S. Bank Hires Insurance Executive to Lead HNW Biz in Seattle

U.S. Bank has named a senior officer of an insurance brokerage and risk management firm to lead its high-net-worth business in Seattle. Mary Justice joined the Private Client Reserve as the unit’s greater Seattle market leader from Marsh Inc., the bank announced Thursday.

In her new position, she will lead a team of wealth management professionals serving high-net-worth clients, or those with $1 million or more in investable assets, in the greater Seattle area.

While at Marsh, Justice led asset-protection consulting and insurance services as senior vice president for the Pacific Northwest region. Prior to that, she held senior management positions with U.S. Trust, Union Bank Wealth Management and the Laird Norton Trust Company. She has more than 25 years of experience leading teams who work with affluent individuals, according to U.S. Bank.

“Mary brings deep experience and great energy as a leader who has met challenges and exceeded goals throughout her career,” Mary Martuscelli, West Region President for The Private Client Reserve, said in a statement.

The appointment is Martuscelli’s first high-level hire since joining the bank in October with the goal of growing the high-net-worth business in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Colorado.

Minneapolis-based U.S. Bank is a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, a bank holding company with $354 billion in assets. The Private Client Reserve is part of U.S. Bank’s Wealth Management Group.
