Top bank advisers: veterans and rookies
As part of our Top Bank Advisers ranking, we asked each nominee how long they had been working as an adviser. We included that stat in our final package, although we didn't use it as part of our weighting to determine the winners. But afterward, we re-ranked all the winners by that one number and decided it was worth highlighting for readers.
The first 10 here have the longest tenures as financial advisers. Combined, they have 228 years of industry experience (about the time George Washington's first term began.)
As a twist, we also added the 10 with the shortest tenures in the industry on the theory that making the grade in a short time was equally impressive. The numbers after their names show where they ranked on our original lists.
