Principal and Managing Director

Jeffrey M. Levine, is a Principal of Milestone Advisors, LLC, and Managing Director in Milestone’s Financial Institutions Group, where he represents clients in the purchase and sale of mortgage companies, banks, thrifts and other financial service companies. Mr. Levine has extensive transaction experience in the mortgage banking industry and has participated in most of the corporate transactions executed over the past fifteen years, representing a combined servicing volume in excess of $500 billion. Notable transactions include: the sale of First Horizon Home Loans to MetLife Bank, American Home’s mortgage servicing business to WL Ross & Company, the sale of New York Mortgage Trust’s retail lending business to IndyMac Bank, the sale of Royal Bank of Canada’s US mortgage banking operations to New Century Financial Corporation, the sale of Leader Mortgage Company to U.S. Bank, the acquisition by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage of GE Capital Mortgage’s Servicing Operation and Production Platform, the purchase of Mellon Mortgage Company by Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation, the acquisition of Atlantic Mortgage & Investment Corporation by ABN Amro Mortgage Group, Inc., Union Planters Mortgage’s acquisition of the wholesale lending division of Colonial Mortgage Company, and the sale of Mellon Mortgage’s 26 retail residential mortgage origination branches to Chase Manhattan Mortgage. Prior to joining Milestone, Mr. Levine was Managing Director of BayView Financial Advisory Services, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in the mortgage banking industry. Mr. Levine spent 11 years at BayView and, from 1998 to 2002, managed BayView’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. Milestone acquired BayView’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice in November 2002. Mr. Levine has over 20 years’ experience in the mortgage banking industry and prior to joining Bayview in 1991, was the manager of mortgage warehouse lending at Southeast Bank, N.A. Mr. Levine has been a guest lecturer at the Mortgage Banker’s Association’s School of Mortgage Banking and its Chief Financial Officers and Financial Analysis Conferences, as well as FHLMC’s School of Mortgage Finance. His articles have appeared in national trade publications including Community Banker and Mortgage Servicing News.Mr. Levine received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Florida. Active in many philanthropic and community service causes, Mr. Levine is Treasurer of Jewish Community Services, Inc., a leading South Florida non-profit agency. Mr. Levine and his wife, Dalia, live in Aventura, FL.
