Peter Vaughn

Peter A.Vaughn is Senior Vice President of Global Brand Management and Marketing for American Express. He is responsible for developing and managing the overall brand strategy for the company, including brand architecture, visual brand identity and brand asset management. In addition to providing strategic thought leadership to major consumer marketing initiatives across the company, Mr. Vaughn is also responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s business-to-business brand strategy. Mr. Vaughn joined American Express’ London office in 1992, where he served in the company’s Consumer Financial Services Group as Director of Marketing for UK Banking Products. He subsequently joined the International Consumer Card Group, holding various positions of increasing responsibility in regional marketing, general management and global product development. In 1999, he was promoted to Vice President for Acquisition & Advertising, Small Business Services, and relocated to American Express’ New York headquarters. Mr. Vaughn then served as Vice President & General Manager of Lending in the Small Business Services Division and Vice President of Marketing in the Travelers Cheque and Prepaid Services Group where he managed the launch of the American Express Gift Card.In 2005, Mr. Vaughn joined the company’s Global Advertising and Brand ManagementDivision and was promoted to Vice President of Global Brand Strategy responsible for the evolution and management of the company’s overall corporate brand strategy and identity.
