Kennedy Joins Lincoln as Head of Retirement Unit

John C. Kennedy has joined Lincoln Financial Distributors as head of retirement solutions distribution, a new position in which he will be in charge of annuities and intermediary 401(k) businesses.

"There is an even greater need today for accumulation and income security solutions as consumers seek to recover from the impact of the difficult markets over the past year," said Lincoln President and CEO Will Fuller.

Kennedy comes to Lincoln from MetLife Investors, where he was national sales manager. His previous positions include senior vice president with AXA Distributors and senior sales and marketing roles at The Hartford subsidiary PLANCO.

IndexIQ Names Wilson Regional Sales Director

IndexIQ has hired Anthony Wilson as vice president and regional director of sales for the Western region. He comes to the company from Turner Investment Partners' private client group, where he worked for nine years as a director and principal. Prior to that, Wilson held senior sales positions at several well-known investment firms, including Pacific Income Advisors and Jurika & Voyles.

"Anthony brings great experience in communicating the value of unique financial products to the registered investment advisor, financial advisers and family office marketplaces," said Anthony B. Davidow, executive vice president and head of distribution at IndexIQ.

DWS Selects Woods To Head U.S. Distribution

DWS Investments, the U.S. retail unit of Deutsche Bank's global asset management division, has appointed Michael J. Woods as U.S. head of distribution, reporting directly to Ingo Gefeke, global head of distribution and product management for DWS Investments.

Woods has nearly two decades of experience covering the U.S. investment market, most recently as the former head of the financial intermediaries and investments group at Evergreen Investments. He also was CEO of XTF Global Asset Management, a manager of quantitative exchange-traded funds, and U.S. head of sub-advisory and investment-only business at Citigroup.

"The U.S. retail investment market has undergone important changes in the last year or so, presenting us with unusual opportunities. Dreyer Becomes Associate Portfolio Mgr. at Gabelli

GAMCO Investors has named Kevin V. Dreyer as an associate portfolio manager on the Gabelli Asset Fund, the flagship open-end fund that Gabelli opened in 1986. He will work alongside Mario J. Gabelli, who has been the fund's sole portfolio manager since its inception, to manage a portion of the fund's assets.

Gabelli said, "We are delighted to have Kevin work on the Gabelli Asset Fund. Kevin has made outstanding contributions in his role as an associate portfolio manager of the Gabelli Healthcare and Wellness Trust and as a member of the Global Series Funds' investment team. We look forward to him contribution investment ideas to the Asset Fund."

Dreyer joined Gabelli as a research analyst following the completion of his MBA at Columbia Business School. He previously worked at Banc of America Securities following his graduation from the University of Pennsylvania.
