Genworth Taps Reynolds For New England District

The Retirement Services Group of Richmond, Va.-based Genworth Financial has appointed David Reynolds as a regional vice president and wholesaler with responsibility for northern New England.

An experienced insurance and investment products marketer, Reynolds joins the firm from Citizens Investment Services Group, where he was a financial consultant. Reynolds' experience also includes stints with MFS Sun Financial, Fidelity Investments and MFS Investment Management.

Ring Joins Brinker Capital As Retirement Plan Chief

Brinker Capital has hired 25-year industry veteran John Ring as managing director of retirement plan services.

Ring will lead the Berwyn, Pa.-based firm's retirement product and service initiatives. His first task will be to develop an offshoot of Brinker Capital's Destinations managed mutual fund program and make that available to financial advisers who specialize in 401(k), 403(b) and 457 participant directed retirement plan clients.

"Financial advisers have been asking over the last few years for more ways in which they can make better and wider use of the Destinations program," said John Coyne, president, Brinker Capital.

Prior to joining Brinker Capital, Ring was senior vice president of retirement service with both Delaware Investments and Fidelity Investments, and also served as a vice-president with Goldman Sachs.

Jumet to Lead Compliance At Babson Capital Mgmt.

Babson Capital Management, a Cambridge, Mass.-based investment management firm, has appointed Jan Jumet as its chief compliance officer.

Jumet will lead a 22-member compliance team with overall responsibility for compliance program development and implementation across of all of the firm's investment disciplines, which covers nearly 600 people and more than $91 billion in assets under management.

"Jan has both compliance expertise and strong business management experience, and that combination will be invaluable as we continue to build and enhance our compliance programs," said Bill Galvin, president and CEO, Babson Capital.

Prior to joining Babson Capital, Jumet was senior vice president, chief risk and compliance officer, at Mellon Institutional Management. Before that he was CCO at Standish Mellon Asset Management and for the Mellon Institutional Funds. J

Ireland, Jemapete to Guide ALPS' QQQ Wholesaling

Financial services industry veterans Kevin Ireland and Christopher Jemapete have joined ALPS Mutual Fund Services as regional sales directors.

As part of a new deal between the mutual fund services firm and Nasdaq Global Funds, Ireland and Jemapete will lead a push to educate major brokerage firms, registered investment advisors and other investment professionals on the potential advantages of including the board's exchange-traded fund, known as the QQQ, in client portfolios. They have a combined 52 years of industry experience and both have worked with ETFs extensively, ALPS officials said.

In other ALPS news, David Nelson was recently hired as manager of transfer agency and shareholder services at the Denver-based firm. Nelson arrives at ALPS from AIM Investments Services, where most recently he served as supervisor of retirement support services. He has eight years of mutual fund operations experience.
