Mango Joins Touchstone As External Wholesaler

Christian Mango has joined Touchstone Investments as an external wholesaler, responsible for the state of New York. He comes to the company from IXIS Asset Management, where he was regional director for New York and northern New Jersey. Before that, he handled marketing and sales of institutional funds in New England for Mutual of American Securities and held a number of sales and financial planning positions at Salomon Smith Barney.

Ancora Advisors Recruits Three Senior Executives

Ancora Advisors recently hired three senior executives: Denis J. Amato, executive vice president and chief investment officer, equities; James M. Bernard, senior vice president and senior portfolio manager, fixed income; and Alan G. Miller, vice president and portfolio manager.

The three previously worked with Ancora Chief Executive Officer Frederick DiSanto and founder and Chairman Richard Barone at Maxus Investment Group, which merged with Fifth Third Bank in 2001.

Amato was the chief investment officer for the banks Northeast Ohio region. He also managed two value mutual funds along with individual and institutional portfolios. Bernard was the portfolio manager of two fixed-income mutual funds and a number of fixed-income individual portfolios, and Miller was a vice president and mutual fund specialist.

AIG Retirement Promotes Nixon to General Counsel

AIG Retirement Services, a subsidiary of American International Group, has promoted Christine A. Nixon from vice president and deputy chief legal counsel and secretary to now serve as senior vice president and general counsel, reporting to Executive Vice President Marc Gamsin.

Prior to joining AIG SunAmerica as associate counsel in 1993, Nixon was an associate with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in the firms banking and finance department.
