Franklin Templeton Selects Two New Wholesalers

Franklin Templeton Investments has hired Scott Mansfield as a vice president and wholesaler for the independent and bank division channel, in charge of training and educating financial advisers in Connecticut on the firm's products. Franklin has also promoted Mike Mills to wholesaler for the independent, bank and New York Stock Exchange channels. In this job, Mills will also be responsible for educating and training financial advisers, but in the Arkansas and northern Louisiana areas.

Before joining Franklin Templeton, Mansfield was vice president and regional marketing director for Putnam Retail Management. Before joining Franklin Templeton in 2005 as an internal wholesaler, Mills was a bank adviser and independent adviser for a number of firms in the Mid-Atlantic.

Knott Promoted to EVP, Prez at OppenheimerFunds

OppenheimerFunds has promoted Richard Knott to president of OppenheimerFunds Distributor and executive vice president of OppenheimerFunds, effective Jan. 5. He is succeeding Jim Ruff, who is retiring after nearly 18 years with the firm.

In his new role, Knott is responsible for all aspects of retail sales and marketing. He has worked as a manager for 23 years, 16 of them in the financial services industry. He joined OppenheimerFunds in 1999 as director of telephone sales, becoming director of sales in 2005.

Before joining OppenheimerFunds, he managed annuity and mutual funds operations at Prudential Financial.

"Richard brings a unique mix of operational and sales experience and a passion for success to our retail business," said John V. Murphy, chairman, president and CEO of OppenheimerFunds.

Ruff joined OppenheimerFunds in 1989 and started the strategic accounts department. He became national sales manager in 1990 and president of OppenheimerFunds Distributor in 1994. During that time, sales have grown from $750 million a year to a projected $30 billion in sales this year, while assets under management have increased from $8 billion to more than $220 billion.

Serstock, Oliver-Allen Join Integrity Funds Distributor As Regional Directors

Integrity Mutual Funds has hired Bryan Serstock and Catherine Oliver-Allen as regional directors of its distribution company, Integrity Funds Distributor.

Serstock will be based in Minneapolis and Oliver-Allen in Alamo, Calif.

Before joining Integrity, Serstock was director of sales and account manager for Seamless Solutions. Before that, he was key accounts manager for USAllianz Investor Services and mutual funds relationship manager with USAllianz Investor Services.

Oliver-Allen was previously a partner and regional vice president with Universal Financial Consultants, a regional marketing director with Integrity Life Insurance, a regional vice president with Essex Corp. and a business development consultant with Insight Capital.
