Fred Alger Management Senior Analyst Rejoins Firm:Teresa McRoberts Will Lead Health Care Sector

Teresa McRoberts, a portfolio manager and partner at Maximus Capital, is the latest alum to rejoin Fred Alger Management. McRoberts was a senior analyst with Alger from 1994 to 1998 and she will return as a senior VP and senior analyst.

McRoberts joined Maximus in April as co-manager of a health care sector hedge fund. She had been portfolio of the Morgan Stanley Health Science Trust from June 1998 to March 2001.

Alger Management President Fred Alger said in a statement, "While at Morgan Stanley, her fund outperformed the Lipper Health/Science Index during the years for which she held sole management responsibility. At Alger, Teresa will assume leadership of our analysis of the health care sector."
