T. Rowe Price reopens Small-Cap Value Fund

T. Rowe Price Associates reopened its Small-Cap Value Fund to new investors effective Nov. 5. The fund had been closed since March 1, 1996, due to a surge in investor interest in small-company stocks. Fund manager Preston G. Athey said the fund was reopened because small-cap stocks are undervalued due to the sector's under-performance. There are "compelling opportunities in the small-cap sector right now," he said.
