Kathleen B. Cooper, Ph.D.

Kathleen B. Cooper is an expert on the banking and energy industries. From 2005 through 2007, she served as Dean of the College of Business at the University of North Texas and prior to that had been the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Commerce Department since 2001. During the 1990s, Dr. Cooper was Chief Economist for the ExxonMobil Corporation. She is currently Chair of the National Bureau of Economic Research and a director of the Williams Companies, a Tulsa-based natural gas company. Dr. Cooper holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado.
