Janney Montgomery Scott lured a Morgan Stanley advisor team producing $2.7 million in combined revenue.
Laurence Braunstein will join the firm's Midtown Manhattan branch as an executive vice president of wealth management, according to statements from Janney. His team, including vice president Jordan Braunstein, specializes in retirement income and distribution planning, Janney says.
Laurence has 31 years of industry experience, Janney said in a statement. Before joining Morgan in 2010, he worked for First Allied Securities, Walnut Street Securities and Nathan & Lewis Securities from 1984 to 2003, according to FINRA's BrokerCheck. He got his start in the industry at Home Life Equity Sales in 1984, according to BrokerCheck records.
Jordan has four years of experience as a financial advisor with Morgan, the firm says.
Also making the move is the team's account executive Deborah S. Smith, registered private client assistant Magarita Benejan, and private client assistants Ann Mercado and Timothy R. Braunstein. The firm could not immediately be respond to a question on whether Laurence Braunstein, Jordan Braunstein and Timothy Braunstein are related.
