Maria Moskver

As Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and General Counsel at the Walz Group, Maria Moskver brings more than 18 years of experience in consumer financial services, including loss mitigation, bankruptcy and operations. Maria has extensive knowledge of federal and state-specific regulatory issues, including the requirements imposed by TILA, RESPA, FCRA, FDCPA, Dodd-Frank, and state-specific regulations. She has also served as Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Compliance Counsel, and General Counsel to companies within the financial services industry. Maria is a member of the Legislative and Regulatory Practice Group and Collections Group of the ALFN; the State Government Affairs Committee of the AFSA; the Publications Committee of the USFN; and the State Legislative and Regulatory Committee of the MBA.She frequently speaks on topics at industry topics, authors articles, and moderates a monthly webinar covering both state and federal regulatory compliance updates.Maria graduated cum laude from the Colorado College with a B.A. in Economics and Business, and holds a J.D. from the University Of Denver Sturm College Of Law, where she served as Business Editor of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy. She also holds an M.B.A. from the University Of Denver Daniels College Of Business.
