A new report by the Investment Company Institute shows that over the past four months, a staggering $75 billion has been withdrawn from equity mutual funds.

That is more than the $73 billion that was withdrawn from equity funds in the five months between October 2008 and February 2009 in the wake of the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy and the onset of the financial crisis.
