BigFoot Investments has launched a cloud-based investment strategy software portfolio that streamlines trading, data delivery and client correspondence for RIAs and registered reps via their PCs, tablets and smartphones.
Officials at Fort Worth, Texas-based BigFoot said the software determines top investment strategies, identifies appropriate position allocation weightings and features interactive watch list functionality updates delivering buy and sell signals through text messages and e-mail alerts to advisors.
“While our investment platform originated as an in-house system, we soon recognized that there were many other advisors who realized the value of sound investment strategies but did not have the time or resources to implement their own research,” Lee Johnson, CEO and founder of Bigfoot Investments, said in a statement. “We seek to provide ‘virtual expertise’ on investment strategies, offering asset management solutions that save advisors time and allow them to focus on their core competency -- providing overall wealth management advice.”
The software uses a series of proprietary mathematical tests that puts nearly 10,000 stocks through a “rigorous, multi-factor” model taking into account growth, profitability, financial condition and momentum. These factors determine the monthly Top 25 “High Probability of Success Stocks” that the firm recommends for investment.
BigFoot’s process also alerts advisors to both appropriate position sizing and timing of buy and sell signals based on their proprietary risk recognition and allocation systems. The alerts are accessed by logging-in, and can also be sent automatically in the form of emails or text messages. The platform offers similar services for reviewing ETFs, dividends, and mutual funds, or a combination by creating fully customized investment portfolio models.
