$1M Team Leaves Merrill for Raymond James

Two former Merrill Lynch advisors with $1 million in annual client revenues have joined the employee side of Raymond James, a director at the firm said.

Jeffrey Tennyson and Thomas Phillips signed on with the regional broker-dealer, Jim Hamilton, the firm's South Atlantic regional director, said in a statement. Prior to the move, Tennyson and Phillips oversaw $136 million in client assets, according to Raymond James. Both operate as Tennyson Phillips Wealth Management of Raymond James, and are based in Albany, Ga.

Tennyson began his financial services career in 2000 with Wachovia Securities, then moved to Morgan Keegan in 2001 and to Merrill Lynch in 2008, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.

Phillips entered the financial services industry when he joined Merrill in 2011. He teamed up with Tennyson at the wirehouse in 2013. Joining the advisors in their move is registered sales assistant Tina Kozuch.
