A Growing Network: Raymond James to Hold 21st Women's Symposium

Some two decades ago, a group of female financial professionals from Raymond James met in Marco Island, Fla., to discuss their work and share insights.

That group, now known as the Raymond James Network for Women Advisors, will be holding its 21st Women’s Symposium at the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort and Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Fla., starting on Sept. 30.  More than 260 women advisors from Raymond James are expected to attend the event, according to the network’s director, Michelle Lynch. This will be her first year at the symposium’s helm.

“Of course, the renewing of old and making of new connections and friendships is still one of the most enduring and valued aspects of the symposium and something I’m especially looking forward to as I get to know the many women who have made the network what it is today,” Lynch says.

The program includes more than 20 informational sessions, keynote presentations and interactive seminars led by both Raymond James colleagues and industry experts.

An executive roundtable will allow attendees to ask questions of the heads of Raymond James’ four North American private client group divisions: Scott Curtis of Raymond James Financial Services, Tash Elwyn of Raymond James Advisors, Bill Van Law of Raymond James Investment Advisor Division, and Terry Hetherington of Canada-based affiliate Raymond James.

This year, Raymond James is introducing a session called Confident Clients, in which a few clients will be given the opportunity to provide insight on their goals and articulate how advisors can help to build their confidence.
