Raymond James Nabs Morgan Stanley Vet

Raymond James snapped up a 32-year industry veteran from Morgan Stanley.

The firm has recruited Edward F. Tills to the Rochester, N.Y., branch of its traditional employee broker/dealer channel. Tills, who previously managed $108 million in client assets, will operate as first vice president of investments.

“We are delighted that Ed has joined our firm in the Rochester office,” Bill Roney, the divisional director of the firm’s Great Lakes division, said in a statement. “He has extensive experience, is well known in his community, and has a great reputation for caring for his clients, which is totally in line with Raymond James’ values and culture.”

Tills began his career in 1981 at Merrill Lynch in Rochester and later moved through Dean Witter, Shearson Lehman, Smith Barney, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley through a series of mergers and acquisitions.

He is joined by his senior registered sales assistant Kimberly Lawrence Hanga.
