Tiedemann Wealth Management Expands

Tiedemann Wealth Management announced Tuesday that it hired Jennifer Mitchell as a managing director.

Mitchell, who will report to Craig Smith, Tidemann’s president, will join the New York-based company’s is client services and business development team.

“Jennifer’s extensive experience in the private wealth management industry, together with her broad investment and wealth planning capabilities, will further strengthen our exceptional client and business development teams,” Smith said. “Attracting a professional of Jennifer’s caliber is testament to the quality of our offering and the bright future of our firm.”

Mitchell was a managing director at Barclays Wealth, where she focused on investment and wealth management services for ultra-high-net-worth clients and built a client base around self-made first generation entrepreneurs and retired executives.

Before that, she was a managing director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where she worked with a client base that included Forbes 400 families, CEOs and entrepreneurs. Ms. Mitchell advised clients on investment strategies, wealth management, securities and credit allocations and transactions.  During her career, she has also held positions at Sanford C. Bernstein & Company.

Tiedemann works with approximately 100 families and advises them on over $6.5 billion of investable assets.  The company, founded in 1999, is focused on providing customized, comprehensive and objective solutions to investment, financial and trust and estate matters. 

It has offices in New York, Palm Beach, Fla., and Los Angeles.
