Carsten Beith

Carsten joined Cain Brothers in 1993 to open the firm's Chicago Office. Since joining Cain Brothers, Carsten has been primarily involved with financial advisory engagements on behalf of hospitals and health systems, managed care organizations, ambulatory surgery centers, specialty providers and physician organizations. His engagements have encompassed a broad array of transactions including sales, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and restructurings, as well as the placement of debt and equity. Carsten regularly provides expert testimony in support of valuations, fairness opinions, and other transaction structures.Prior to joining Cain Brothers, Carsten was with Unibank A/S, a predecessor bank to Nordea Bank, in New York, where he was responsible for health care lending. Prior to Unibank, Carsten was a manager with Arthur Andersen & Co., where his health care work included hospital audits, feasibility studies, contract compliance reviews, and merger and acquisition advisory services. Carsten received his MBA in finance from the Stern School of Business, New York University and is an Honors College graduate of Michigan State University. Carsten is a CPA and a frequent speaker at health care conferences on topics such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, valuations and fairness opinions. Carsten is a native of Denmark.
