Gary Olson

Gary Olson is a 20 year Information Technology veteran acting as liaison to business partners�a strategic thinker and growth-oriented leader in Fortune 500 companies specializing in governance, business process modeling, solutions architecture and organizational transformation management. As the Manager for Enterprise Data Governance at IHG, Mr. Olson is passionately focused on growing business trust in the data, championing MDM for reference data, enjoying the evolutionary journey toward Data Governance, and solving real business problems that add measurable value back into the organization�currently focusing on transforming data quality issues into real value (e.g., risk mitigation, lost revenue, future cost savings, hardware savings�quantifiable dollars to the bottom line). Prior to IHG, he held IT management positions at Home Depot, Crawford & Company and SunTrust Bank. Mr. Olson received his MS (ABD) in Information Systems from the Rochester Institute of Technology and his BA in Economics from Bard College at Simon's Rock.
