Michele Pelino is a member of Forrester's Infrastructure & Operations research team. Her expertise focuses on Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, technologies, applications, and vendors, as well as enterprise mobility, mobile device application adoption, and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) initiatives.Michele's research spans IoT software platforms and technologies; machine-to-machine (M2M) devices; IoT applications in retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation; and IoT impacts on customer experience, IT, and operations. Her enterprise mobility research focuses on BYOD strategy, location-based services, mobile devices and applications, 5G technologies, workforce segmentation, and mobile device life-cycle solutions.Michele delivers strategic guidance to Forrester's enterprise and vendor clients by identifying IoT technologies and applications, and the impact of IoT solutions on infrastructure, operations, and customer experience. Michele also guides clients by providing insight into enterprise mobility strategy development, mobile device and application momentum, and BYOD programs. She also focuses on strategic issues facing the telecom industry, gauging the effect of new competitors, new business models, and new technologies including IoT solutions, M2M devices, location services, and 5G networks.Previous Work ExperienceMichele has more than 15 years of professional experience focusing on the enterprise mobility and telecommunications industry. She assisted domestic and international service providers in addressing strategic issues, conducting competitive assessments, evaluating product concepts, and developing marketing positioning messages on new technologies and services.Prior to joining Forrester, she was a management consultant serving national and international communications and technology clients in North America and Europe. Michele started her consulting career in Booz Allen & Hamilton's telecommunications group, where she helped telecom companies implement a federally mandated wireline and wireless service prioritization system used during national emergencies.EducationMichele has an MBA from Boston University. She also holds a B.A. from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
