Stefan Happ is General Manager of Online and Mobile North America at American Express. In this role, Stefan has responsibility for partner and client management, marketing and merchant acquisition for new online and mobile payment capabilities and services, including Serve, the company's next generation payments platform.Previously, Stefan served as SVP and GM of the Americas in the company's prepaid business, leading the dramatic growth of the American Express Gift Card and Reward Card franchises in the United States and Canada. He has also spearheaded the company's introduction of the ground-breaking family of reloadable prepaid cards, both through the American Express E-commerce channel and through numerous distribution partnerships. Since joining American Express in 1997, Mr. Happ has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in reengineering, product development, and sales & marketing in the American Express Consumer, Corporate and Prepaid Card businesses.Prior to American Express, Mr. Happ spent a number of years in various marketing and operational roles at British Airways across the globe. He holds a BA from University College London and an MBA from Lancaster University Management School.
