President and CEO

Stuart K. Pratt is President and CEO of the Consumer Data Industry Association, a trade association headquartered in Washington, D.C. CDIA members provide businesses with the data and analytical tools necessary to manage risk. They help ensure fair and safe transactions for consumers and competition. These data expand consumers� access to a market which is innovative and focused on their needs. Pratt has advised U.S. presidential and gubernatorial task forces on the importance of the free flow of information to the U.S. economy and testifies regularly before Congress. While focused primarily on US policy, he has served as an advisor to the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding European Union-U.S. trade negotiation and has counseled private and government entities overseas on responsible uses of consumer data. He serves as the U.S. representative to an international committee focused on credit reporting in developing economies sponsored by the World Bank and IFC. Mr. Pratt has served as a guest lecturer at both Georgetown University�s school of law and McDonough School of Business. He serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce�s Committee of 100 and the Advisory Council for the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. He received his Bachelor�s Degree from Furman University in Greenville, SC., and conducted his graduate studies in business at the University of Maryland, University College.
