Kathleen B. Cooper is an expert on the banking and energy industries. From 2005 through 2007, she served as Dean of the College of Business at the University of North Texas and prior to that had been the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Commerce Department since 2001. During the 1990s, Dr. Cooper was Chief Economist for the ExxonMobil Corporation. She is currently Chair of the National Bureau of Economic Research and a director of the Williams Companies, a Tulsa-based natural gas company. Katherine Fernandez Rundle was appointed State Attorney for Miami-Dade County in 1993. She has subsequently been re-elected five times to serve as State Attorney. She has a long history of involvement in her community and her state that dates back to her days at Miami Palmetto High School and her undergraduate career at the University of Miami. She went on to obtain her law degree from the prestigious Cambridge University in England. State Attorney Fernandez Rundle prides herself in being a career crime fighter. She is a founding member and Vice-President of Women of Tomorrow, a mentoring program that looks to inspire and motivate young at-risk high school women. With her comprehensive expertise in Jefferson National’s products, investment options and innovative technology platform, as well as her extensive knowledge of the competitive landscape, Ms. Coppola is an educator and valued consultant to the advisors she serves. Ms Coppola previously served as Branch Analyst at UBS Financial Services, where she worked with advisors to increase fee-based assets through financial planning, asset allocation analysis and mutual fund research. Ms. Coppola has also has served as a mentor and volunteer for InvestWrite, an innovative writing program sponsored by the SIFMA Foundation for Investor Education, to help promote financial literacy for youth.
