She has been involved with many of the firm’s growth and expansion efforts given her prior role heading the national team of business development professionals. Over the past two decades, Julie has worked extensively with entrepreneurs and wealthy families in areas including the acquisition and financing of closely-held businesses, investment capital management, estate planning, beneficiary mentoring and education, in addition to other aspects of multi-generational planning. \nHer prior senior leadership roles were director with Trivest Partners, a middle-market buyout private equity firm; president of PLC Investments, Inc., where she managed and directed the activities of a privately owned investment firm; and various management roles at Chase Manhattan Bank (where she traveled extensively throughout Latin America) and Citicorp. \nJulie earned her MBA in Finance from American Graduate School of International Management and her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Bradley University, graduating magna cum laude. She has held many leadership roles at not-for-profit organizations supporting education, the arts and public service areas. She has been a guest lecturer and speaker on topics including women & investing, entrepreneurship, and wealth challenges. \n

For the past six years, she has provided charitable giving counsel and planning resources for individuals, families, and wealth managers nationwide, giving her knowledge of estate planning practices and tax-smart philanthropy. Having held roles at Schwab Charitable and in private foundation administration, she has a unique understanding of charitable planning as it pertains to integrated wealth strategy.\n\nMs. Gordon brings over ten years of experience in the financial services industry to Schwab Charitable. They have successfully used this technology to act as true fiduciaries for their clients and grown their business to more than $2B in less than two years. \nJulia was drawn to the financial services industry while in college because of her passion for analytics and problem solving. She also holds the Financial Industry Regulatory (FINRA) Series 65 license.  She now lives in Brentwood and spends her spare time enjoying physical fitness, including soccer, and outdoor activities.\n
