Alex joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 2015; she is in charge of relationships with institutional Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) investors. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, she was a senior vice president in PIMCO’s New York office, ETF strategist and member of PIMCO’s global wealth management team. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2011, she was an executive director at J.P. Morgan and previously worked in structured investments at Barclays Capital \/ Lehman Brothers and Société Générale.\nAlex has 15 years of investment experience and holds a Master's degree in Finance from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in France (Edhec) and a Master's degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University. She is co-head of the New York chapter of Women in ETFs.

A lawyer and early adopter of social media, Ms. Russell has consulted on drafting effective social media policies and plans for financial services companies. She has also authored white papers that aid compliance officers with interpreting FINRA, SEC, and state insurance social media regulations. Ms. Russell has been featured as a guest contributor for Financial Advisor Magazine, Insurance & Technology, Banc Investment Daily, and as a SIFMA and CEFLI conference speaker. She is a member of the Illinois Bar.

He specializes in the design, implementation, and management of retirement plans for public and private corporations, non-profit organizations, and trade associations. Alex has been recognized as the “Top Retirement Plan Advisor of the Year” for Large Market plans as part of America’s “300 Most Influential Advisors in Defined Contribution,” as well as “Retirement Advisor of the Year,” by Employee Benefit Advisor Magazine.
