AIM Creates Another Tool for Advisers to Work With 401(k) Sponsors

AIM Investments has created a tool that financial advisers can use to work with 401(k) sponsors in a product-neutral way to select and monitor retirement savings plans. Called AIM PlanForward Module 6—Understanding Retirement Plan Fees and Expenses, the software program is said to be product-neutral and gives advisers an additional tools to demonstrate their merit to sponsors.

It helps advisers and sponsors understand, evaluate and monitor fees and expenses associated with retirement plans, as well as review investment options.

“The sixth module in our PlanForward series offers multiple tools and resources to help retirement plan financial advisers better understand plan fees and expenses, a compelling attribute given recent regulatory developments,” said Terry Kelly, national sales manager in the retirement division of AIM Distributors.

The first five modules covered managing fiduciary liability, educating participants and conducting plan reviews.
