Firm Opens Second Office to Support Intermediaries

In a move to improve its support of financial intermediaries in the western half of the U.S., American Skandia opened its second office in Denver today, the company announced.

The new 120,000-square-foot facility customer service and sales office will be home to information technology, training, human resources and facilities management staff. Sixty-five employees began working out of the new office in June and an additional 200 people will be added within the next two years.

'With this expansion, American Skandia is broadening its accessibility to investment professionals while continuing to grow as a company,' said Wade Dokken, president and CEO of American Skandia, in a statement.

The new office has a customer call center, a data center and a training facility. 'In keeping with its commitment to excellence in customer service, American Skandia is pursuing this expansion to ensure that our track record remains strong,' said Ian Kennedy, senior VP of customer service, in a statement.
