Bloomberg to Carry New Moody's Indexes

Bloomberg has begun carrying the 29 new equity mutual fund indexes that Moody's Investors Service introduced last month. Moody's Equity Mutual Fund Indexes track the performance of 1,725 U.S. equity funds representing $2.1 trillion in assets, by 29 style-based peer groupings. Moody's plans to make its indexes as widely available as possible, said Henry Shilling, a vice president with Moody's.

Moody's will re-balance these indexes every quarter and is currently working on three new daily indexes: a composite world and foreign equity fund index, a composite domestic equity index, and a composite total equity fund index.
