Overture Asset Managers, LLC, an asset management holding company that acquires and manages boutique investment advisors, announced today that industry veteran Larry "Chip" Seibert will rejoin Avatar Associates, an Overture affiliate, as senior vice president and equity portfolio manager.
Avatar, which designs portfolios for corporate, public, hospital, foundation and endowment clients, is widely known for tactical asset allocation strategies that deliver superior risk-adjusted returns under all market conditions. The firm also manages assets for separately managed account clients of leading national wirehouses and independent broker/dealers, as well as two mutual funds.
Seibert was most recently managing director, director of research, portfolio manager and research analyst at Barrett Associates, responsible for $1.5 billion in private client and institutional portfolios. Prior to that, he served as vice president, portfolio manager and technology analyst for nine years at Avatar Associates.
A CFA, Seibert began his career in 1984 on the audit team of KPMG Peat Marwick and was a senior financial analyst at Goldman Sachs. He is a member of AIMR and the NYSSA and holds a B.A. in economics from Columbia University and an MBA in finance from New York University.
Avatar Associates manages approximately $1.5 billion in assets.
