Maillet and Team Leave Nuveen

The John Nuveen Company and Jeffrey Maillet and certain members of his investment team are parting ways. Maillet, who managed the Chicago-based firm's Senior Loan and Floating Rate funds, and his team members are leaving in order to pursue "a new professional focus and broader asset management opportunities beyond Nuveen's current priorities," according to a company statement.

A company spokeswoman declined to offer further details on the nature of the new opportunity or what members of Maillet's team will be leaving the firm.

The firm is planning to transition a new management team into the funds over the next two months, according to the company.
