Mercer’s New Blog, M/THINK, Talks About Employers’ Issues

Mercer has launched a new blog for employers that it hopes will be thought-provoking. M/THINK also includes data-rich infographics and commentaries on key business issues facing today’s employers.

The initial blog contained a series of postings about Mercer’s “What’s Working” survey of 30,000 workers in 17 countries.

These included information a posting on employee loyalty, noting that nearly one in three U.S. workers are seriously thinking about leaving their current jobs. Mercer explores what is prompting them to want to leave.

The blog also recently explored U.S., U.K. and Canadian workers’ attitudes toward retirement preparedness.

In addition, it explored the paradox that younger workers view their employers more favorably than older folks, but are more inclined to leave for other opportunities.

In January, Mercer will expand the blog to include findings from other Mercer worldwide research.

“M/THINK is a new way to bring Mercer’s wealth of research and intellectual capital to the marketplace in a creative and and visual manner,” said Steve Faigan, enterprise marketing and research leader at Mercer. “We believe this format will resonate with users who face the daily challenge of having to synthesize and apply overwhelming amounts of information.”

The M/THINK blog is the latest rendition of Mercer’s “Inside Employees’ Minds” campaign. As part of this campaign, Mercer challenged employees to submit six words about work, which received nearly 8,000 submissions. Mercer is publishing the top 400 in a book.
