Morningstar of Chicago, has posted a calculator on its web site to help investors determine the different returns that various share classes can produce, due to varying sales charges and expenses. The calculator is located at www.morningstar.net/news/ms/numbercrunchers. It shows results for a fund's various shares over a 25-year period.
"Finally, investors can see what they've suspected for a while - share classes make a difference in returns," said Carolyn Messite, product manager for Morningstar's web site.
