Prudential Financial is now offering 12 separately managed account portfolios that offer multi-manager strategies in its Managed Accounts Consulting Services Program (MACS). Each offers either an equity or balanced strategy that is overseen by a lead portfolio manager who works within pre-determined criteria.

"The beauty of the multi-strategy approach is that one lead manager oversees the entire

portfolio. Investments are consolidated in one account, the lead portfolio manager monitors and rebalances asset allocations, and the client receives one statement to track progress," said Judy Rice, president of Prudential.

The portfolios have investment minimums of $100,000 to $250,000, and are intended to provide investors with diversification through investment styles and holdings. Managers selected for the program include Eaton Vance Management, ING Managed Account Group, Phoenix Investment Partners, PIMCO Advisors and Portfolio Services Group.
